School Year Calendar Survey – 2026–2027

The Superior-Greenstone District School Board values the voices of our staff, families, and community partners in shaping a school year calendar that best supports student learning, wellbeing, and strong community connections. As we plan for the 2026–2027 school year, we invite you to share your feedback through this short survey.

The school year calendar plays an important role in organizing instructional time, school breaks, and key milestones that impact students, families, staff, and community services. Your perspectives and experiences help inform thoughtful decision-making and contribute to a calendar that reflects the needs and priorities of our school communities.

The school year calendar also includes Professional Activity (PA) Days scheduled on specific dates, as required by the Ministry of Education. These dates align with election days and other regulated requirements. PA Days are essential in supporting staff professional learning, collaboration, and planning, enhancing their ability to meet the diverse needs of students and to foster learning and development throughout the school year.

Please take a few moments to complete the survey and submit your preferences for key dates, such as the start and end of the school year, breaks, and other important events. Your responses will play a significant role in the development and finalization of the calendar, which is submitted to the Ministry of Education for approval.

The school year calendar is finalized in partnership with our coterminous school boards, with whom we share student transportation, ensuring alignment and consistency across our region.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for contributing to a collaborative process that supports student success and strong school–community connections.
